I booked a cobia fishing trip with Captain Lance Luke, even though we knew finding them might be difficult. He worked hard to put us in the best possible areas and shared plenty of valuable local knowledge. He is a great captain, and you can tell he truly loves fishing. He also made sure we brought home enough fish for the refrigerator. I will definitely book with him again.

I booked Outcast for my 10-year-old grandson’s first inshore fishing trip. Captain Mike Midgett worked hard to put us on fish in Roanoke Sound. As a local who grew up on Roanoke Island, he knew exactly where to find big red drum and bluefish. Fishing was tough for all the charters that day, but we still enjoyed our time on the water and learned a lot from Captain Mike. My grandson fought a big red drum and a bluefish, although both got away at the boat. He still had a wonderful day and kept reminding me, “It’s called fishing, not catching.” We would definitely book another trip with Captain Mike.

Captain Mike worked hard to put us on fish. The wind made for a bumpy ride, but we still caught several bluefish and a hefty 37-inch red drum before heading back. It was a very good day on the water.

Captain Lance provided a good day fishing with a hurricane about to shutdown fishing for the next few days. We went offshore to Trigger fish a first time experience for the 3 of us. In between bites he pointed out the Spade fish breaking surface around us. Very entertaining experience.

We had 4 adults in our group. We caught 5 Blue Fish and 1 Sting Ray on a 6 hour trip, which ended up being a little long for the ladies in the group. I would probably do the 4 hour trip the next time we do a fishing trip. I loved being out on the water. Captain Lance took us to quite a few spots. Our eldest daughter that doesn't fish was the one to catch the Sting Ray. It gave her a good fight. I would highly recommend Captain Lance if you want to do a fishing charter trip.

Captain lance is great it was a lil chilly and my daughter was under dress for the night out and he hooked her up with his wife gear, we had a blast and even told so old stories of fishing times. He is very knowledgeable knows and his stuff and can’t wait to get back out with him again.

Despite a cold and windy day with slow fishing, Captain Lance was a true professional—easy-going, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. He worked hard, hitting many spots in the sound to maximize our opportunities, and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The local insights and his help filleting our fish for a fresh marina lunch made the trip fantastic. We'll definitely book him again when the weather improves!

Captain lance made this charter one of the best charters I’ve been on. He knows how to get you on some fish and he’s a great guy. Highly recommended for everyone that wants to have a good time catching big red drum and some good eating sea trout.

We had an amazing half-day trip on Outcast. Captain Lance was fantastic, ensuring we had an excellent day on the water. Within 15 minutes of leaving the dock, he guided us to Red Drum. Next, we moved on to surface casting for the hard-fighting Bluefish. Lance was informative and patient, offering the perfect amount of guidance tailored to our varying experience levels. Plus, he's a great guy! Highly recommend!
