These are the most frequently asked question we get a lot. What fish are running in Wanchese? Does Wanchese have clear water? Where can I catch snook in Wanchese? These are all great questions, Wanchese is known to be an anglers paradise. There are always fish running in Wanchese, we see seasonal runs of Tarpon and also have a ton of resident snook, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead and more! When it comes to catching snook the Indian River is second to none! The water in Wanchese is also known to be very clear which can lead to some really exciting sight fishing opportunities for Redfish and more !

Captain Lance provides an extensive selection of fishing charters throughout the year in Wanchese. Their fishing trips range from 3-hour quick fishing trips to full-day excursions. Captain Lance offers a range of fishing techniques, including bottom fishing, drift fishing, light and heavy tackle, jigging, trolling, and spinning and popping, depending on the season and targeted fish species. Outer Banks Fishing Report

April was a bit chilly, but the fishing was still a blast. We had some slower days, but overall, we had a great time out on the water. The waters are starting to warm up, and the fishing is only going to get better from here. I still have a few openings in the first couple of days of May and May 17th, so if you're looking to get out on the water and have some fun, let's make it happen. We'll bring all the gear you need, you just bring your snacks and drinks. Can't wait to see you out there!
